What happens during an infant feeding consultation?

I’ll observe a feeding session, weigh your baby before and after nursing to measure their milk intake, examine your baby’s mouth and talk with you about your history and how things are going. Together, we’ll come up with a plan that meets your needs.

Fees

In-home infant feeding consultation:

  • Initial visit $200/ $250 twins+

  • Follow-up within two months: $175/$225 twins+

Telehealth feeding consultation*:

  • Initial consultation: $125

All consultation fees includes two weeks of follow-up support by secure texting.

If you are a self-pay client, I will give you a superbill to send your insurer.

*Telehealth consultations are not recommended if your baby is not gaining enough weight or if you have significant nipple pain.

Before your appointment:

  • Fill out the forms linked in my email.

  • Have a mask for everyone over the age of 2.

  • Time your baby’s feeds so they will eat about 30 minutes after our appointment time.

  • Eat so you will have energy for the visit.

  • Secure your pets.

  • If you are self-pay please have your insurance information available so I can fill out a superbly form for you to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

    Please do NOT:

Please do not tidy your house or yourself before I arrive.  I will be there to see you and your baby, not your home.  I know how priorities shift when there is a baby in the house.
